{"id":179,"date":"2009-02-16T20:42:24","date_gmt":"2009-02-16T20:42:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/atourcity.com\/bkgoswami.com\/?p=179"},"modified":"2013-10-08T20:55:55","modified_gmt":"2013-10-08T20:55:55","slug":"mayapur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atourcity.com\/bkgoswami.com\/mayapur\/","title":{"rendered":"Mayapur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Mayapur, February 16, 2009<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/>\nI attend the meetings and function as a GBC to please Prabhupada, otherwise<br \/>\nI would feel no inclination to do this as the desire for controlling,<br \/>\nmanaging, etc is quickly diminishing from my heart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">My actual desires can be summed up very succinctly; to please Srila<br \/>\nPrabhupada, to eternally serve the divine couple at Govardhan, to bring<br \/>\nsouls to Srila Prabhupada&#8217;s lotus feet, and to facilitate souls in attaining<br \/>\nthe ultimate goal of loving service to Radha and Krishna.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Lord Caitanya is Krishna Himself trying to understand the love that<br \/>\nRadharani experiences for Him. By His mercy, one can also have some<br \/>\nunderstanding of that love. I say &#8220;some&#8221; understanding as the extent of<br \/>\nthat love that Radha experiences for Krishna is unlimited. We can never<br \/>\nfully grasp it, but we can have a glimpse of it, and serve that love.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Radharani has love for all of Krishna&#8217;s parts and parcels. Love for Krishna<br \/>\nactually encompasses all of his parts and parcels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">When Krishna takes on Her mood, His love for His parts and parcels expands<br \/>\nunlimitedly. Therefore Caitanya Mahaprabhu is the most munificent<br \/>\npersonality of Godhead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">This morning I woke up very early feeling painful separation from Govardhan.<br \/>\nIt is difficult for me to be anywhere else.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Fortunately, I have my Govardhan Silas (Radha Giridhari) with me in my room,<br \/>\nand They are so kind to allow me to render personal service to Them such as<br \/>\nbathing Them, feeding Them, massaging Them, decorating Them, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">I prayed to Them this morning to engage me in the eternal service of the<br \/>\nDivine Couple and to allow me to understand what pure love is.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">By Their mercy, I had a small realization of this while I was chanting japa<br \/>\nin the temple room.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The remembrance of the pastime of Radharani&#8217;s appearance manifested in my<br \/>\nmind and heart. When She appeared in this world, she was apparently blind.<br \/>\nThis was due to Her desire to not see anyone but Krishna. Later on when<br \/>\nKrishna as a baby came to Her home and crawled up to Her, She smelled His<br \/>\nfragrance and immediately opened Her eyes for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">This is real love for Krishna! Not wanting to see anything else but one&#8217;s<br \/>\nbeloved, and do anything else but serve one&#8217;s beloved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">This pastime is a manifestation of Lord Caitanya&#8217;s statement in the last<br \/>\nverse of His Siksastaka:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">aslisya va pada-ratam pinastu mam<br \/>\nadarsanan marma-hatam karotu va<br \/>\nyatha tatha va vidadhatu lampato<br \/>\nmat-prana-nathas tu sa eva naparah<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">&#8220;Let Krsna tightly embrace this maidservant who has fallen at His lotus<br \/>\nfeet, or let Him trample Me or break My heart by never being visible to Me.<br \/>\nHe is a debauchee, after all, and can do whatever He likes, but still He<br \/>\nalone, and no one else, is the worshipable Lord of My heart.&#8221; Antya 20.47<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">May Radha Giridhari enable me to always remember this.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mayapur, February 16, 2009 I attend the meetings and function as a GBC to please Prabhupada, otherwise I would feel no inclination to do this as the desire for controlling, managing, etc is quickly diminishing from my heart.
