Srila Gurudeva had Sannyasa Anniversary on June 11, 2004. We were sorry that he had to travel on that day and we could not celebrate with him. This event gives a wonderfull opportunity to glorify our beloved Spiritual Master and here is one of the offerings that he received on that day:
My dear Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to you!
Happy Sannyasa Anniversary!!
I am sad that you were not able to celebrate this day with us and you had to leave, but at least I would like to use this opportunity to express my appreciation for you and thank you for all the treasures that you have given to me!
Although you are a very exalted personality, you are so easily approachable to any fallen soul who seeks your help and advice, even at expense of your own well being. You are always very caring, kind and deeply affectionate like a loving father to his children. In fact, you renounced your material family, and at the same time you took upon yourself the great burden of so many infant spiritual children, who are often just causing you trouble. But you keep giving your care with great compassion, serving your beloved Srila Prabhupada.
I want to thank you so much for being so caring and compassionate to me. Thank you so much for your kind support and for always being there for me, even at times when I am not able to do things nicely, when I make mistakes, and when I get discouraged. For me this is the essential point of Krishna consciousness – philosophy may be there, but it is tested through personal relationships. You show by your personal example how to be a real devotee. You are teaching us how to be concerned with others’ welfare and live to help others. Your example is always very inspiring to me! You are yourself very strong in all respects, brilliantly intellingent and at the same time so amazingly soft and protective of those who are weak and foolish and seek your help. I feel very protected by you.
You are never discouraged, even if there are so many big big problems in the society of the devoteees, even if there are so many opposing elements, even if things go wrong. You always see the positive side, and you always trust your Srila Prabhupada and Krishna. Therefore, you always come out successfully!
Your New Goloka is a very very precious spiritual abode! Very gradually I am getting more understanding how pure and spiritual it is, and why you always say that it is not different from Vrindavan. Because I am still very impure, it is sometimes very difficult for me to stay here, but at least I can understand that this is my own disqualification. I am so thankful to you that you allow me to live and serve you here!
Your Sri Sri Radha Golokananda are very amazing Deities! Their sweetness and mercy are incredible, and it is no wonder that They are captivating the hearts of so many devotees! I could never even dreamt that I would be able to serve Them like I do now. It is your kindness that I may serve Them, have Their association, and take shelter of Them. Thank you so much for allowing me to do services which help to absorb my mind in Them and become very, very happy.
Thank you so much that I may do personal service for you!! This is a special mercy that you are giving me, and I treasure it very much! Many times I find that my days are so carefree and very happy because I am just absorbed in your service. I beg you to always keep me engaged fully.
At the same time I would also like to beg forgiveness from you for my not always being able to do what you want me to do. I feel very much in anxiety because I have not been so active in preaching and with bhakti vriksa lately. I am also very slow with my web-site service for you. I am sooo thankful that you have entrusted to me these services! Yet, I feel very incompetent at the same time. I hope that somehow I will be able to get more accomplished in the future.
Please let me always be fully absorbed in your service and let me be able to please you somehow!
Your servant,
Prema manjari dasi
