Srila Gurudeva came back from his trip to Europe about a week ago. The devotees were ecstatic upon seeing him again. He told everyone here at New Goloka that he feels much younger now. In Europe everyone is so young, and it’s like an old people’s home here! We were upset, but happy to have him back.

Gurudeva spent the first couple days resting. He has been meeting with different devotees and giving morning classes. Next weekend he is going to Richmond where three of his disciples, Syama dasi, Muralidhara das and JayaSri dasi are running a preaching center. JayaSri works there as a doctor and Syama is working on her PhD in Psychology and teaching at the University there.

On Panihati all the devotees had a nice festival at a lake nearby. Visiting guests were Bhakti Charu Swami and VipraMukhya Swami. Gurudeva was very exited about swimming, but both the Swamis declined, so Gurudeva ended up going swimming with Mathura, Subal and some of the Gurukula boys.
“What’s the use of going to a lake without swimming,” he said laughing.

Bhakti Charu Swami and Gurudeva also got to spend some time together. They have become very close while working together in the area.
