HENNA
|
 |
| Henna (Mehndi) is a plant whose leaves
naturally contain a reddish-brown color. The leaves of the plant
are dried and ground intoo powder. The powder becomes a paste when
it is mixed with tea, lemonjuice and eucalyptus oil. |

Henna tatoos are temporary, painless, natural, and also very
good for the skin. Hindus believe that Henna brings wealth and
auspiciousness to life, because it is very dear to Lakshmi, the
Goddess of Fortune.

|
Most henna designs take only a couple of minutes to apply, whereas
extremely elaborate designs, such as those customarily applied
for wedding ceremonies, can take several hours.
|
 |
|
 |
| Henna designs last anywher from 1-4 weeks, depending
on the quality of the henna powder, the skin type of the person,
the amount of time the paste is left on the body, and the frequency
with which the design is washed. The color of Henna comes out darkest
on the palms and the feet, although designs usually do not last
as long on the palms because hands are washed more frequently. |

|
 |
| There are no known cases of anyone having an allergic
reaction to henna, although some people can be allergic to eucalyptus
oil. If you experience itching, burning, or any other discomforts,
wash the skin with soap immediately. We are not responsible for
any kind of reaction. |
